Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has announced the appointment of Greg Davis as the Chief Financial Officer and Group Executive, finance of the Group. He will thereby be responsible for the overseeing and ensuing of strategic management to all financial and fiscal aspects of the Bank’s finance operations.
Ade Ayeyemi, the Group Chief Executive Officer of ETI has this to say concerning Greg Davis. ” Greg brings a great depth of knowledge and experience at best practice level and I’m delighted to welcome him on behalf of the Ecobank leadership team. His knowledge of corporate, commercial and consumer banking finance will be invaluable as we look to achieved our corporate strategy.”
Mr. Greg states, ” I am delighted to join Ecobank to drive forward the execution of the new strategy of this leading Pan-Africa bank. I look forward to helping enhance the capacity of the finance function to deliver its mandate.
Greg Davis graduated from the university of Leicester, Bachelor of Art (B.A Hons) in Economics and Social History from 1997 to 2000. He his a chartered and fellow accountant of the Institute of Chartered accountant England and Wales.
He was given the Honour (award) of moving into Africa CFO 2015. This young CFO has wide experience.
As founded in Linkedin, he became a director of Barclay’s Bank in London, United Kingdom between October 2005 and September 2011. Thereafter, he was made a Chief financial Officer of the Standard Bank Group between September 2011 to September 2015 in Johannesburg area, South Africa.
While in Standard Bank Africa, he was in charge of the bank’s operations in Africa, outside south Africa.
The purpose of his appointment in ETI was as a result of a reorganization of the Bank in 2016 and a new strategy to provide a framework to serve customer in a more efficient manner, optimising the Bank’s Group statement of Financial Position and improving cost and risk management.
Greg Davis (FCA) appointment will takes effect from October 18th, 2016.
