- Your income can’t afford a OnePlus 6.
- You prefer to use the latest Android Version and SoC.

- OnePlus 6 is a luxury, so you will ditch the OnePlus 5T.

Five Reasons To Ditch the OnePlus 6 for OnePlus 5T
Your income can’t afford a OnePlus 6
So, you can’t afford the OnePlus 6 is your reason for buying the OnePlus 5T instead. This means you are telling yourself the truth. OnePlus 6 price starts from 529 dollars. The OnePlus 5T on the other corner, price start from 499 dollars. An increase of 30 dollars. This still bore down on you. You can decide to wait for some time, so you can save the 30 bucks or buy the OnePlus 5T instead.
But you wouldn’t be doing yourself any good to my knowledge. OnePlus 6 is young and rolling. Waiting a few weeks or few months is no reason why you should ditch the OnePlus 6. At that time you cash is complete to purchase it. Also, why not try a loan? Taking such a soft loan from a friend or love ones can give you the opportunity to enjoy the benefits now while you pay later.
You prefer to use the latest Android Version and SoC.
I am with you on this one. I’ll prefer the latest version too. OnePlus 6 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo. But, the OnePlus 5T uses a lower version of operating system, that is the Android 7 Nougat. It is true that, this year, users of OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 receives an upgrade, in which they upgrade their OnePlus 5/5T to Android 8 Oreo. This means that if you buy the OnePlus 5T, you can upgrade it to Android Oreo OS.
Moreover, if you already use a OnePlus 5T then, you probably had updated your smartphone to Android 8. So, why then do you need a OnePlus 6? I will place my argument on the fact that OnePlus is yet to produce its biggest smartphone. As it is said, “the beautiful ones are not yet born”, so, it’s not time to ditch your OnePlus 5T for the OnePlus 6. You can still maintain your OnePlus 5T for this year while you buy a new OnePlus flagship in 2019 which will use the Android P operating system.
Let’s assume it’s the system on chip that will make you ditch the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus claims that the OnePlus 6 is all about speed. Powered by OxygenOS, OnePlus UX operating system base on Android O and best in line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the OnePlus 6 speed is unmatched. However, the OnePlus 5T is using a lower processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. If this is your reason for buying the OnePlus 6 then go for it. The OnePlus 6 is yours.
You are a fan of OnePlus, so you buy the latest versions very year
That’s not a bad idea if you have the money. Invest you cash on what you think worth it. But don’t forget doing good to other people in your community. The last time I check, a lot of persons are poor than those that are wealthy, you never know, a cash gift to a poor person instead buying a new OnePlus 6 may help you save a soul. You never can tell, you may still get the OnePlus 6 anyway.
OnePlus 6 is a luxury, so you will ditch the OnePlus 5T
You believe the OnePlus 6 is a luxury. Well, that’s for you. Compare to Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, iPhone X, the OnePlus 6 is no luxury. Well, it may still be a luxury for you, so you decide to ditch the OnePlus 5T. That’s fine anyway. You may have define luxury as a commodity you use to show off among your peers. Yes and of course, the OnePlus 6 can be use to show off. Especially, if you are among persons who can’t afford a OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus 6 camera rock than the OnePlus 5T
You believe the OnePlus 6 camera rocks than the OnePlus 5T. You should check YouTube to see if really this is true. But base on specifications available, the OnePlus 6 and 5T cameras are the same. 16MP Plus 20MP for the rear cameras and 16MP for the front camera of each smartphones.
The difference is in the quality. Or let me say, sensors. The OnePlus 5T/6 front cameras used SONY IMX 371 sensor. OnePlus 5T dual rear cameras used SONY IMX 398 for the 16MP camera and SONY IMX 376K for the 20MP camera. The 16MP camera of the OnePlus 6 uses SONY IMX 519 sensor. OnePlus didn’t change the 20MP sensor.
The 16MP camera for the OnePlus 6 is the only upgrade to the rear camera and that worth almost 30 bucks. That is the difference between the prices of both phones. Its worth it, if you ditch the OnePlus 5T for the “6” for the camera enhancement.
The question still remains. Can you ditch the OnePlus 6 for the OnePlus 5T? A detail analysis have been done base on five principles. Now, its your turn to decide it.
