Gregory Lee has been appointed has head of Nokia Technologies

Nokia has appointed Gregory Lee has head of Nokia Technologies and member of Nokia Group Leadership team. The appointment takes place immediately.

The bio of Gregory Lee revealed that he will be very useful to the tech company especially as the company should be planning for a large market share in the tech market.

Gregory Lee graduated from University of California at San Diego. There, he studied microbiology. He has worked with Samsung Electronics for 13 years before joining Nokia. While working with Samsung Electronics, he served as President and CEO of Samsung Electronic North America. President and CEO of Samsung Electronics south East Asia as well as Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Global, all in descending order.

Before working with Samsung, Gregory Lee has Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg’s and Procter & Gamble as product development, sales and strategic initiatives.

Gregory will report to the Nokia Group Leadership team chairman, Suri at California USA. The Leadership team is made up of 15 members including Lee. Rajeev Suri (Chairman), Basil Alwan, Hans-Juergen Bill, Kathrin Buvac, Ashish Chowdhary, Barry French, Bhaskar Gorti, Federico Guillén, Gregory Lee, Igor Leprince, Monika Maurer, Kristian Pullola, Marc Rouanne, Maria Varsellona and Marcus Weldon are members of the team.

Gregory Lee appointment begins on June 30, 2017.

With respect to the appointment, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nokia gave his commendation to Lee calling him a man of “passion for innovation and operational excellence, along with his proven ability to build and lead global consumer technology businesses, make him well suited to advance Nokia’s efforts in virtual reality, digital health and beyond.”

On his part, Lee was exited about the appointment and said he is honoured to be part of the people that will built up the “success of Nokia of the future.”
