The CBDC for Nigeria is here to stay. Onboarding the ENaira speed wallet is necessary to start utilizing the Nigeria digital currency. As we are getting closer to the 5th industrial revolution, electronic money and other digital assets will become popular. In this article, I will take you through how to onboard the CBN speed wallet with your mobile phone.
Getting Started with the ENaira Speed Wallet App
The first thing you need to do is to download the Enaira speed wallet app from the Google play store if you use an Android smartphone. Or Apple Store, if you own an iPhone. You need to search for the app and install it straight up.
Upon installing the app, it will appear on your phone’s desktop. Next, you open the app with a simple touch. The app will ask you to log in with your details. That is username and password. But you don’t have that right now so you have to proceed to sign up.
Signing up the ENaira Speed Wallet
You will be asked to sign up with your bank. Click on that and choose your bank. Next, you add the phone number attached to your bank and Bank Verification Number (BVN). Enter your password and confirm your password as you can see on the app. Then click continue.
Enter your Details on ENaira Speed Wallet
After clicking continue, it will take you to a new window. As you can see in the screenshot below. Enter the following personal details:
- First name
- Last name
- Date of Birth
- State of origin
- Bank account number
- BVN number
- And click on the square box.
Then click continue. A verification link will be sent to your email that is linked to your BVN. You should click on the link in your email to complete the verification. And Holla! You are good to start using the ENaira speed wallet app.
Onboarding the Speed wallet for ENaira is not difficult. But you may encounter some problems. One of such is that your phone number must be attached to your bank account and BVN. And your email should be attached to your BVN. If you have any of these issues, you should meet your bank to resolve them.
