Nigeria Pharmaceutical technology startup, Medsaf has won the best startup with a female CEO. The award was given to the startup in the just concluded SeedStar World summit held in Geneva, Switzerland. Medsaf first made it to the first runner up, then was opportune to win this award.
Last year during the Seedstar Nigeria competition. Medsaf won the best runner up. This gave the startup the privilege to pitch at Seedstar world with other technology company around the world. Medsaf is founded by Vivian Nwakah.
Medsaf is not the only Africa startup getting an Award. In fact, Agrocenta, a startup base in Ghana becomes the global winner for the Seedstar world award. Agrocenta is an agrotech startup that helps small farmers improve their financial livelihood through fair trade. Agrocenta will be given the sum of $500,000. Out of the 65 startups, from different part of the world, at the event, Agrocenta got the first price.
Other four startups that won an award are Finchat, Solarfreeze, Edves and EMGuidance. Finchat is from Singapore, Solarfreeze is from Kenya, Edves is from Nigeria and EMGuidance is from South Africa.
