MIN.NG ESTABLISHES A WEBSITE TO PROMOTE MADE IN NIGERIA PRODUCT



‘Min’ is an acronym for Made-in-Nigeria is an e-commerce platform to promote made in Nigeria product.

The Federal Government of Nigeria for the past years have encourage Nigerians to patronize made in Nigerian product and services.

These were the reason the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and the Structural Adjustment Programme was established in the first place in 1976 and 1986 respectively.

The current economic conditions has been associated also to failure to utilized made in Nigeria product.

The founder of the website (Min.ng) Mr Kelechi Ekegbe, states in a statement made available to the public that he is collaborating with Made-In-Nigeria Project, to organse a conference and exhibition in November 29, 2016.

 The aimed of the conference is to  create a model that would serve as catalyst for economic recovery for the non-oil and informal sector, says a news report.

The theme is: `Possibilities Made In Nigeria – A re-direction towards economic growth, SME advancement and national transformation’.

Mr Adedeji Alebiosu, the Executive Director, Made In Nigeria Project states the following concerning the conference: “We hope to capture the essence of the role Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play towards economic growth and transformation with a focus on the growing opportunities, possibilities and growth trajectory in the informal sector.”

“Our focus on the growth of MSMEs hinges on the position SMEs play in every economy’s growth, which are cardinal to our national goal towards self-sufficiency.”

“Moreso, we aim to celebrate and promote the existing innovative solutions that have been deployed in Nigeria through enterprise and entrepreneurial machinations, as synonymous with the national identity.”
