Nigeria Domain names registration reached a new height of 101,795 domains registered in December. Though, the registrars experience slow sales during the months starting from October through December.
The reason for the slow sales will be as a result of the festive period. So, Nigerians may have focus on essential products instead of buying domain names. However, since the festive periods are over, domain names sales may pick up.
From the chart and table, in December 2017, active domains for 3rd level and 2nd level were 82,978 and 18,717. Total domains registered in December were 3,560 a decrease in sale by 414 domains. 70 domains were transferred and 1,917 were renewed.
