The National Information Technology Development Agency. NITDA, is working on a new curriculum for Information Technology education in Nigeria. The information was proclaimed at a conference in Abuja.
The theme of the conference was Academia in Information Technology Profession (AITP). The DG of the technology agency, Dr. Isa Pantami who was represented by Mr. Ben Ewa, the deputy director of corporate and strategy development for the agency gave a speech that point out this.
Mr. Ewa said that NITDA is partnering with various tech personalities and bodies to this regard. The curriculum for IT from Primary schools to tertiary institutions have insufficient digital content, he said.
This is of almost important most especially that most jobs in 2020 will require IT knowledge from the labor market.
