ICT is the bedrock of all developed nations of the world and NITDA is not turning a deaf ear on this issue. The Dr. Isa Pantami lead administration of the agency recently host a training for northern Nigerian females. The programme was held in Jigawa state.
During the ceremony of the Dr. Is Pantami recognises that women are very important to the growth of a country. He mentioned that Forbes females are those who are made it big time through their knowledge of technology.
The program which aimed at empowering one hundred females ended up with the empowerment of one hundred and eleven females. Others present at the event were the Governor of Jigawa state, Muhammed Abubaka Badaru. The deputy governor, Barrister Hassan Hadeija was also present. The Hon. Commissioner for science and technology of the state, Hajiya Rabi Ishaq also participated in the program.
The participants were given computers packed by one of Nigeria OEMs, Zinox. Each of the participants received a laptop computer. The NITDA event was held in Manpower Development Institute, Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State. And the participants showed appreciation to NITDA.
