On Facebook Scandals, Elon Musk says, “We never Advertised on Facebook”

Facebook’s Cambridge Analytical scandal still on and has affected the biggest social media platform. Though, Facebook founder and CEO mark Zuckerberg had apologized and is taking steps to ensure Facebook users’ data are save.

Founder and well known businessman and tech personality who always believes he can do anything he said, Elon Musk had ordered his companies, SpaceX and Tesla to delete their Facebook account. Within an hour of stating this Tesla and SpaceX had deleted their account on Facebook.


Report from Venture beat, shows that fans on both Tesla and SpaceX are more than 5 million in counting. In reply to this, Elon Musk stated on Twitter that his companies never Advertise on Facebook. None of my companies buy advertising or pay famous people to fake endorsement, he said.

Instagram’s probably ok imo, so long as it stays fairly independent. I don’t use FB & never have, so don’t think I’m some kind of martyr or my companies are taking a huge blow. Also, we don’t advertise or pay for endorsements, so … don’t care.

He further stated that Instagram’s probably ok Imo, so long as it stays fairly independent. “I don’t use Facebook and never have, so don’t think I’m some kind of martyr or my companies are taking a huge blow. Also, we don’t advertise or pay for endorsements, so … don’t care.” He concluded.

Many persons have responded to his tweets, some in favour of it others against deleting Facebook.

Balazs Szekely @tiggerl82 says “@elonmusk I was always following the live feed of SpaceX on Facebook! Why did u delete? U need to use facebook with common sense, and your profile is okay than!”

Facebook scandal may cost Mark Zuckerberg alot to himself and to his company. Mozilla a company that relied on Facebook Ads has stopped all advertisement on the platform.
