Paga a Nigeria Fintech to start saving transactions in 2018, Perform 110 transactions in a Minute in 2017 among others


Founder and CEO of Paga, Tayo Oviosu, stated on Medium what the company achieved in 2017 and what its plans to do more in 2018.

Let’s start with what happen in 2017. Tayo Oviosu stated that the company makes 110 transactions in a minute. In 2012, the company made only seven transactions in a minute. This is a great improvement for the company. Further, the company made 90 percent increased, Year on Year, in the worth of transactions done in 2017. A 300 billion Naira worth of transactions was made during the year in review.

Paga had 13,720 agents across various community in Nigeria, where people can Carry out financial transactions like making payments or depositing money. I have also enjoy and use this services, expecially, when considering the long queues in bank’s ATM machines.

The company now have 200 staffs in counting and plans to increase it, thereby solving a crucial challenge in Nigerian-unemployment on its own way.

In 2018, Paga plans to expand its range of digital financial services. This, Paga will do by starting a savings platform for customers and increasing market share through its agent network, USSD code, its website and mobile app, says the CEO, Mr Tayo.

Paga has been around since 2012 and has made banking convenient for millions of Nigeria.
