READ WHAT SENATE PRESIDENT INTEND TO DO TO CURB ECONOMIC RECESSION IN NIGERIA

The senate president of Nigeria, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in his speech during the Eid el Kabir has promises to take certain actions to cub the current economic recession in the country immediately the senate sections resume next week. He said this in a town hall meeting in Kwara states with chiefs and leaders of the kwara central senatorial district.

The senate president opined that imediately the senate sections resume next week all hands will be on deck to resolve the issue of economic crises in the country.

In a press release issued by the  Special Adviser (Media and publicity) to the Senate President, Yusuph Olaniyonu on Tuesday states the actions the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will undertake:

1. The Senate will interogate why the measures taking to cushion the effect of recession built in the 2016 budget has noyt been implemented.

2. They will find out why the promises to borrow from external sources have not materilised.

3. Why deviation of the Naira has not helped strengthening it.

4.Reasons inflows of foreign currency has continued to dry up and why interest rate is very high.

5. The Senate will meet with stakeholders in the private sector with the aim of collating enough opinion needed to formulate ideas to stimulate the economy.

6. To invites everybody involved in the management of the Nigerian economy to address the Nigerian citizen on the actions they are taken to curb the economic crisis.
