The Nigerian Communications  Commission, NCC Special Day was observed at the ongoing 2017 Lagos International Trade Fair taking place at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos

The Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, who was represented by Miss Josephine Amuwa, Director Policy, Competition & Economic Analysis at the Commission said as an independent regulatory authority for telecommunications in Nigeria, NCC recognizes the centrality of telecommunications services to our nation’s growth and development, and more importantly  that the consumers of telecommunications services deserve to get value for their money, and be treated as the most strategic stakeholder.

Danbatta said “the main thrust of NCC’s participation at the trade this year was to reiterate the essence of its earlier declaration in the year designating 2017 as the Year of the Nigerian Telecom Consumer dedicated to bring to the fore the challenges of the telecom consumers.”
