Summary of November 2016 Capital Markets Advisory Committee meeting available

 



The International Accounting Standards Board’s user advisory group, the Capital Markets Advisory Committee (CMAC), held its final meeting of 2016 at the IFRS Foundation offices in London on 3 November.


The topics for discussion were:


1. IFRS accounting choices

2. IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement: Post-implementation Review

3. Digital Future: Data

4. Primary Financial Statements

The Capital Market Advisory Committee CMAC is a body created by IASB, seperated from IASB and IFRS Foundation whose objective is to assess data from the International community of users of financial Statements and make it available frequently as input to IASB. The body usually meets with IASB members in London three times a year.


Futhermore, The Fact Sheet on the IFRS for SMEs, which summarises activities since the IFRS for SMEs was issued, has been updated.
The Fact Sheet includes information about adoptions, translations, training, the SME Implementation Group and other SME activities. It also contains an up-to-date list of SME resources that are available for free download from the website.
