Unity Bank, a Nigeria Bank is not out of place when it comes to using USSD code for banking. As we all know, with a feature phone (that is touch light phones, as we call it in Nigeria), you can use a code to carryout certain banking transactions.
The code for most banks in Nigeria are three digit. However, Unity Bank introduces a four digit USSD code. And its simple to remember compared to the three digit code used by other banks. This is as a result of the uniqueness of the code. *7799# is the code. Unity bank believed that it will be easier to remember by their customers and also said it is “simpler to use.“
Customers of Unity bank can use this code to open an account, check account balance, top up airtime, transfer fund, pay bills, verify BVN and change pin.
